Full-time · PuneDrone Integration Engineer
You’ll take a payload that works fine on a bench — an EO/IR gimbal, a LiDAR unit, a comms relay — and make it work on an airframe that’s about to fly.

Payloads look easy until they’re on an airframe
Our Vision platforms carry a modular payload bay, and it’s carried EO/IR gimbals, LiDAR scanners, multispectral cameras and comms relays across different builds. Someone has to actually get each of those talking to the flight controller, mounted so vibration doesn’t wreck the imagery, and wired so the power budget still works. That’s this job.
You’d be one of the people who takes something from “works on the bench” to “flew today and the footage was usable.”
What you’d actually be doing
Mounting & Wiring
Fit new payloads onto the airframe — power, data lines, mechanical mounts that survive vibration.
Software Bring-Up
Get the payload talking to the flight controller and the GCS, not just powered on.
Ground Testing
Bench-check every integration before it goes anywhere near the field.
Flight Testing
Be there when it actually flies, and fix what the bench testing didn’t catch.
Documentation
Write down what you did well enough that the next integration goes faster.
Vendor Coordination
Work directly with payload manufacturers when their datasheet and reality disagree.
What matters more than a degree
- You’ve actually wired something and had it not work, then figured out why
- Comfortable moving between mechanical, electrical and software problems in the same afternoon
- You’d rather test something twice than assume the datasheet is right
- Some exposure to drones, RC aircraft or robotics helps, but we’ll take real hands-on experience from elsewhere too

Send us what you’ve built
A CV is fine, but a link to something you’ve actually integrated or built — even a hobby project — tells us more. Email both if you have them.
This isn’t the only seat open
Four other roles are open right now, from embedded firmware to business development.
